About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Gus's Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events and ensure seamless execution
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ethnic dishes, including Greek cuisine
  • Train and mentor staff members on food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment
