Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Work Truck West. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic excavator attachments, including hydraulic hammers, compactors, demolition tools, and associated equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and hydraulic tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, service, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic excavator attachments
  • Hydraulic plumbing and installation of auxiliary hydraulic circuits on excavators and other earth-moving equipment
Requirements:
  • Heavy-Duty Mechanics Red Seal Certification or enrollment in an apprenticeship program
  • Excellent troubleshooting / problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Critical thinking, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly within tight schedules
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Welding skills
  • Hydraulic plumbing and attachment setups
  • 12/24-volt troubleshooting
