Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Khosa Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including truck-trailer systems, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to prevent breakdowns and ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Advise Customers: Provide expert advice to customers on work performed and future repair requirements to ensure their vehicles are running safely and efficiently.
  • Complete Reports: Maintain accurate records of problems and work performed to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
