About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Khosa Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units, including truck-trailer systems.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems and truck-trailer systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Verify that repaired systems meet manufacturer's specifications and adjust as necessary.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to advise on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Record Work Performed: Complete accurate and detailed reports to record problems and work performed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy equipment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
