Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Khosa Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Repair and Maintain Automotive Systems: Repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including truck-trailer systems, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of our vehicles.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to advise them on work performed and future repair requirements, and provide them with a positive experience.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week
