Job Summary

AJ Star Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting and repairing parts and components of automotive and truck-trailer systems, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Locate faults and malfunctions in mechanical units, and perform tests to identify issues.
  • Adjust and Repair Parts and Components: Repair or replace parts and components of automotive and truck-trailer systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service: Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Provide Customer Service: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and provide coaching and instruction to apprentices.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Work Site Environment: The work site environment is outdoors, hot, and noisy.
  • Physical Capabilities: The job requires standing for extended periods and attention to detail.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check and driving record check (abstract) are required.

  • Client Focus: The ability to provide excellent customer service is essential.
  • Flexibility: The ability to work overtime and adapt to changing situations is required.
  • Judgement: The ability to make sound judgements and decisions is necessary.

Experience
  • Experience Level: 1 to less than 7 months of experience is required.
  • Employment Type: Permanent employment is offered.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week are required.
