Newprint is seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating offset presses to produce high-quality prints.

Responsibilities:
  • Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments
  • Prepare production schedules
  • Fill ink fountains and control colour and viscosity
  • Plan production methods
  • Estimate costs
  • Set up press and operate at slow speed to check samples
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Monitor regular press run for quality using computer control console
  • Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run
  • Set up and adjust in-line binding and finishing equipment
  • Direct press crew to set up, operate and shut down press

As an experienced Offset Press Operator, you will have a strong understanding of offset printing processes and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in offset printing, with a strong focus on quality control and production efficiency.

The successful candidate will be required to work 30-40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime.
