MS Engineer 3rd Level Technical Support Specialist

Job Title: MS Engineer 3rd Level Technical Support
The MS Engineer 3rd Level Technical Support role is a critical position in the Operations division at Mpi Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing escalated customer issues, both internal and external, and will play a key role in customer design, engineering, and installations for servers, networking, Internet, and security services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 3rd level technical support to resolve complex problems on internal and customer systems, including on-call support.
- Act as the primary customer contact for all production customer systems.
- Install, mount, and network connect customer and internal hardware.
- Work on system O/S and application installation and configuration.
- Design networking systems, security, connectivity, and support specific applications and O/S as per certifications.
- Maintain O/S and middleware application patch/security levels in keeping with product releases and fixes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, with knowledge of level of contractual services, and proactively involve other internal members to resolve customer issues.
- Provide backup support for NOC Technicians and national Operations team.
- Additional projects as required.
Required Skills:
- Bilingual English/French communication skills.
- Certifications in Microsoft, such as MCSE, MCDBA (2000/2003).
- Networking and server technologies, CCNA is an asset.
- Strong knowledge and experience with SQL, an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with Citrix, an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Required Education:
- IT Diploma from a recognized technical institution or equivalent work experience.
