We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at Bluescape Contracting Inc. As a Construction Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape installations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare production and other reports to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness
- Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions to maintain a skilled and motivated team
- Train or arrange for training to ensure workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
- Set up machines and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment
- Recommend personnel actions to ensure the team is working effectively
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure project completion
- Lead and instruct individuals to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape installations
- Fabricate and install landscape features, such as patios, garden walls, and decorative installations
- Assist with landscape constructions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work to ensure high-quality results
- Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD) to visualize project requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field
- Valid driver's license to travel to job sites
- Excellent oral communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
