As a key member of the Nine PBS executive team, the Vice President and Chief Communications Officer will be responsible for advancing the organization's visibility and brand by growing audiences and support. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and strategic leader with a proven track record of success in marketing, communications, and branding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead integrated communication and marketing strategies to grow audience, increase support, and strengthen brand awareness.
  • Optimize multi-platform marketing and communications efforts to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Contribute to and advance the organization's strategic direction as a member of the executive team.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the communications team to produce high-quality work.
  • Set organizational voice, messaging, and branding standards and ensure consistency across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maximize strategic sponsorships and collaborations with external agencies, vendors, and influencers to amplify brand reach and awareness.
  • Oversee event strategy and implementation.
  • Forecast and manage annual marketing budgets and updates, while proactively reporting progress against key performance indicators.
  • Develop and approve budgets and creative executions for owned, earned, trade, and paid media campaigns.
  • Track and analyze results of efforts to inform future work and campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, with at least 10-15 years of experience in marketing, communications, branding, or related fields.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office applications (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite).
Work Environment

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, typically working up to three days virtually each week. Must attend executive team meetings in-person unless given advanced approval from President & CEO. In addition, on-site work is expected for one-on-one meetings with the CEO (when appropriate), and attendance at Board meetings and key events.
