Job Title: Patient Relations Associate

WRHA Corporate is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Relations Associate to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Patient Relations Associate will play a critical role in building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and caregivers. This individual will be responsible for handling patient complaints, concerns, and feedback in a sensitive and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive experience.
  • Respond to patient complaints, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve patient concerns and improve patient experience.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on healthcare services and policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience working directly with patients and families.
  • 3 years of experience applying and implementing quality, risk management, and patient safety principles and procedures.
  • 3 years of experience delivering services to culturally diverse individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as health/social sciences, communications, or health information services.
  • Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Conflict Resolution and Mediation skills.
  • Certificate in quality management, patient safety, mediation, or conflict resolution.
Working Conditions:

The Patient Relations Associate will work in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings and travel to other health services facilities throughout the province. The individual must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
