Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for collecting and processing specimens, entering data, and performing various laboratory duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
  • Enter data into laboratory computer systems
  • Perform various laboratory duties, including phlebotomy and data entry
  • Work effectively in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Develop and maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements
  • Laboratory Assistant Certification
  • MLPAO/OSMT certification
  • 2-5 years recent experience in phlebotomy and a clinical laboratory setting
  • Knowledge of laboratory computer systems
  • Medical Terminology Certificate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record
Working Conditions

Monday - Sunday; Various rotating shifts; weekends & holidays (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)
