About the Role

The SAP iXp Internship Experience Program is a global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. As a CI/CD Developer, you will be responsible for developing CI/CD features using multiple languages, investigating new automation and pipeline development technologies, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop CI/CD features using multiple languages
  • Investigate new automation and pipeline development technologies
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues
  • Be mentored by an experienced supervisor who wants to see you learn, grow, and succeed

Requirements

  • Programming experience in an industry standard language such as Python, Groovy, Java, C/C++ or Go
  • Interested in investigating and learning new technologies
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Overall average of at least 80%
  • Ability to work independently

About the Team

Our Database Interfaces team is responsible for implementing all the programming interfaces for SAP HANA, our state of the art in-memory, columnar database technology. We support many interfaces including: ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, Ruby and Python that make it easy for software developers to create their own ground-breaking big data and data analytics applications that harness the power of SAP HANA.

Like most software development teams, we use a build/test pipeline to ensure software quality and to prepare enhancements for release to our customers. Every software change runs through the pipeline where it is must build successfully, satisfy security and quality checks, and pass a series of automated functionality tests.

What You'll Gain

Your role will be to modernize our existing build infrastructures, investigate/integrate new technologies and trouble shoot problems. Your main tools will be Jenkins, Groovy and Python but there may be opportunities to explore other topics like cloud technologies and testing frameworks.
