Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing diagnoses and develop effective care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote person-centered care and ensure seamless transitions throughout the care continuum.
- Perform non-invasive diagnostic tests, such as ankle-brachial indexes and transcutaneous oxygen measurement, to inform patient care decisions.
- Document patient assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with Fraser Health's policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health literacy and self-care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address patient care issues and develop solutions.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams using verbal, written, and electronic communication means.
- Ability to promote person-centered care and demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, and patient advocacy.
- Ability to integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to inform patient care decisions.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including computer applications.
