Cold Lake Internship Program: Career Advancement in Power Engineering

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Plant Operator through our Indigenous Internship Program. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on work experience and progress towards Power Engineering certification.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, sample, and troubleshoot process equipment for assigned units.
- Maintain housekeeping standards for the shop and work areas.
- Focus on implementing and developing 'Best Practices'.
- Rotate through field and plant units.
- Participate in proactive safety programs.
- Take responsibility for costs within area of control.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Commitment to obtaining a 4th Class or 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and safe driving record are required.
- Proof of membership from one of the following communities: Cold Lake First Nations, Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Frog Lake First Nation, Heart Lake First Nation, Kehewin Cree Nation, Onion Lake First Nation, Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Whitefish/Goodfish Lake First Nation, Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement, Elizabeth Métis Settlement, Fishing Lake Métis Settlement, Kikino Métis Settlement, St. Paul-Cold Lake Métis District 12, Lac La Biche Métis District 19.
A one-year paid internship with possibility of a one-year extension. The internship will be located at our Cold Lake, Alberta operation.
