As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students, designing and implementing a student-centered learning environment, and preparing and delivering lessons, assignments, and lectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver curriculum, training aids, and materials to support student learning.
  • Use digital tools proficiently to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Provide individualized feedback and assessment to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program goals and objectives.
  • Stay current with industry developments and educational requirements through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in the Plumber trade completed with a General Gas and/or Domestic Gas certificate.
  • Two years' recent/relevant post-journeyperson experience as a Plumber/Gasfitter.
  • Effective instructional ability, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of digital tools and technology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in adult education or training.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design principles.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology and educational requirements.
