We are looking for a Maintenance/Handyman/woman responsible for the general day to day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel.

Maintenance/handyman/woman should be able to work in any area as required by their manager to ensure maximum productivity, cleanliness and preventative maintenance standards are consistently upheld.

JOB DUTIES:

- Respond to various guest request for maintenance
- Inspect public areas for defects and resolve defects as necessary
- Ensures the proper storage, handling and security of hotel equipment and supplies.
- Maintaining proper inventory of equipment, supplies and assets.
- Get involve in the preventative maintenance program of the hotel
- Ensure a safe environment for guest and employees.
- Experience in hotel industry preferable.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry would be an asset.
- Must be reliable, punctual.
- Drywall repairs and caulking (required)
- General knowledge of plumbing repairing.
- General knowledge about heating units and air conditioners (PTAC units)
- Seasonal outdoor landscaping
- Perform regular property inspections of the hotel including common areas, building exterior, and landscape.
- Maintain heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels, thermostats, cooling towers, etc.
- Maintain working knowledge of environmental safeguards.
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems)..
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
- Prepare, paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces, as required.

APPLICABLE SKILLS:
Ability to perform small repairs Carpentry skills and refinishing wood preferred. Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels. Must be familiar with cleaning products. Strong customer service orientation and skills. Interact with management, co-workers, and public. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds. Knowledge or experience of running the various equipment required such as a bob cat, mowers, air compressors, power tools etc or the ability to troubleshoot/ learn.

- Handyman / Maintenance: 1 year (required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.73-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
