We are a non-profit organizations located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Smart Learners Daycare & OSC believes that a child care program should enhance each child's social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development of the child - all for the child's holistic development. We further believe that by providing a variety of play based opportunities, through a responsible and productive interactions of children with other children and adults, the foundations of a culture of learning will be laid down and continue to grow and develop. Thus our program cascades from the principles of Flight - Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework Curriculum. Ultimately, our aim for each child is to foster the love of learning, of improving themselves by being mighty learners and citizens.

We are currently looking for 2 educators to join our team

As part of our team, you will nurture children from various age groups starting from 12 months up to 12 years of age.

**Qualifications**:

- Childcare Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector (must be within 6 months or willing to obtain)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (active or willing to obtain)
- Experience in childcare setting (preferred)
- Ability to work in a team setting and self-motivated
- Understanding of ELCC Act & Regulations

**Schedule**:

- Full-time (8 hours shift)
- Part-Time (4 hours shift)
- Monday to Friday

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Create a positive and nurturing environment for children that meets their social, emotional, and physical development and needs.
- Maintain full compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations and Alberta Health Services
- Create/Implement programs and activities based on the children's interest, needs, and capabilities while facilitating their learning at the same time
- Provide supervision that ensures the children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Carry out routines that meets the needs of each child
- Report any concerns about children to the Centre Director
- Respond to emergencies based on the centre's policies and procedure
- Communicate with co-workers and parents regarding children

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50-$18.00 per hour
