Job Title: RAMS / System Assurance, Analyst

About the Role:

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) Analyst to join our team in Burnaby, BC. As a key member of our Safety and Systems Assurance team, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to the implementation of a RAMS program on large-scale projects in the public transport and rail sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and propose methods, analyses, and reports required for the successful execution of mandates within your field of expertise.
  • Contribute to developing strategies to grow the Safety and Assurance service offering.
  • Develop reliability and safety assurance plans, according to project requirements.
  • Coordinate the inputs of engineering teams needed to complete RAMS studies.
  • Conduct reliability studies, including reliability block diagrams on complex systems.
  • Conduct maintainability studies, including MTTR calculations.
  • Carry out safety studies, including but not limited to: Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
  • Establish and manage the Hazard Log for the project, including demonstration of hazard closure with proper evidence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in developing and documenting Safety and Assurance arguments across the complete asset/project lifecycle is considered an asset.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication/briefing skills.
  • Excellent relationship skills, able to build trust and advocacy with others and engage staff and address issues effectively.
Compensation:

The expected compensation for this role is between $54,000 - $91,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
