RAMS / System Assurance, Analyst

About the Role

The RAMS / System Assurance team at AtkinsRéalis is seeking a talented RAMS Analyst to join our Burnaby office. Reporting to the Manager, Safety & Systems Assurance, this role will be responsible for implementing a RAMS program on large-scale projects in the public transport and rail sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to the implementation of a RAMS program.
• Define and propose methods, analyses, and reports required for the successful execution of mandates within the field of expertise.
• Develop plans and conduct reliability, maintainability, and safety analyses.
• Coordinate inputs of engineering teams needed to complete RAMS studies.
• Conduct reliability studies, including reliability block diagrams on complex systems.
• Conduct maintainability studies, including MTTR calculations.
• Carry out safety studies, including Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
• Establish and manage the Hazard Log for the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in developing and documenting Safety and Assurance arguments across the complete asset / project lifecycle is considered an asset.
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication/briefing skills.
• Excellent relationship skills, able to build trust and advocacy with others and engage staff and address issues effectively.
