Environmental Project Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, including estimating, proposal submissions, contract negotiation, initiating projects, reporting, health and safety performance, profitability, and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution and implementation of all safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepare estimates and participate in bid reviews and processes with multiple project tasks.
  • Manage action items within required timelines during bid reviews with Senior Management.
  • Review proposal prequalification and final submissions, including data completion, written bids, and proposal preparation.

Scheduling & Planning & Project Management

  • The Project Manager leads in planning and project execution activities.
  • Create and update project schedules to show project timelines.
  • Define clear and attainable project objectives.
  • Oversee work with Superintendents and site crews to complete tasks on time.
  • Work with Project and Procurement teams to solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Project Management (PCM)
  • The Project Manager directs projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and conduct regular site visits to address questions, concerns, and requests from supervisors.
  • Administer contracts and ensure projects are managed in accordance with terms and conditions.
  • Negotiate change orders and contract increases as required.
  • Develop monthly accruals to accurately reflect project margins.

Risk Management

  • Identify risks based on contracts and site-specific conditions.
  • Communicate project risks and mitigation strategies to Management and Corporate.
  • Implement corporate risk audit strategies on-site and supervise risk audits.

$128,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
