Environmental Project Manager

DJ&A is a multidisciplinary consulting firm delivering a wide range of professional services to clients across the nation. Specializing in transportation design, survey and mapping, sustainability, site development and utilities, construction inspection/management, geospatial solutions, terrestrial LiDAR, 3D scanning, structural design, project management, community involvement, right of way, and environmental compliance, we perform work in beautiful locations such as forests, parks, and monuments, campgrounds, and other federal lands throughout the United States.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a full-time mid-to-senior-level Environmental Project Manager with 7+ years of relevant experience in natural resources or environmental policy. The ideal candidate must have experience with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), assessing environmental effects, independent NEPA documentation, analysis, and reporting. Other experience includes transportation planning and permitting. The ideal candidate will have experience working on projects for state and/or federal clients as well as private clients. Must be proficient in writing and executing contract agreements with clients and subcontractors.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage teams of environmental resource professionals to produce environmental compliance documents
- Ensure technical accuracy and adherence to quality assurance/quality control procedures
- Candidate must be driven to be a key member of a highly competent team that tackles a variety of projects with interesting challenges that are unique to their respective locations
- Possesses a strong initiative to solve problems, develop creative solutions, learn new methods and techniques, and seek out answers to simple and complex questions
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, quality, and agency requirements are achieved
- Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others
- Independent NEPA documentation and analysis experience and/or specialist reporting
- Natural resource analysis experience
- Proficient technical writing skills
- Experience with transportation planning and permitting
- Experience in reviewing, understanding, and implementing policy, statute, and handbook direction for natural resource areas
- Excellent technical writing and editing skills
- Excellent verbal communication
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Highly proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
- Independent, self-motivated, results-oriented, and dynamic
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- A competitive salary range of $75,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience
