We are seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our team at Associated Engineering.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing contaminated sites, with a strong background in project management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Prioritize and manage multiple site investigations and remediation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
- Develop and implement site-specific strategies for environmental remediation, including soil and groundwater assessment, sampling, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external experts to identify and address potential environmental risks and liabilities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 15 years of post-graduation experience in environmental consulting, specifically in managing contaminated sites.
- 7+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- A strong understanding of contaminant hydrogeology, monitoring well design, and sampling techniques.
- Experience with Phase I to III ESA assessment protocols and CSAPs, as well as legal instruments methods according to BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, RRSP matching, and a generous vacation allowance.
