About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our team at Associated Engineering.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing contaminated sites, with a strong background in project management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

  • Prioritize and manage multiple site investigations and remediation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
  • Develop and implement site-specific strategies for environmental remediation, including soil and groundwater assessment, sampling, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external experts to identify and address potential environmental risks and liabilities.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 15 years of post-graduation experience in environmental consulting, specifically in managing contaminated sites.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • A strong understanding of contaminant hydrogeology, monitoring well design, and sampling techniques.
  • Experience with Phase I to III ESA assessment protocols and CSAPs, as well as legal instruments methods according to BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, RRSP matching, and a generous vacation allowance.
