Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Indigenous EASE Services team. As a Senior Accountant, you will work with Indigenous organizations to enhance their financial practices and strengthen their financial management through a dynamic range of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct insightful assessments to uncover and address opportunities within the finance department
  • Lead engaging workshops to redesign financial processes
  • Implement cloud accounting software to optimize efficiency
  • Coordinate impactful capacity building and training workshops
  • Support the integration of best practices in financial management
  • Provide expert recommendations and guidance on financial reports and adjustments

Requirements

  • Three to five years of business experience in a client-service environment with a preference for experience with Indigenous Peoples, communities or organizations
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping including trial balances, general ledger databases, and financial statement processes with demonstrated project management skills
  • CPA or CAFM designation an asset
  • Related certifications are advantageous
  • Flexibility to travel to engage with clients in-person, as needed
