We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Expert to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. The ideal candidate will have expertise in advanced data science techniques and the ability to drive strategic decision-making for our asset management capabilities.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum

The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for leveraging machine learning and quantitative analysis to develop predictive models that forecast market trends and asset performance. They will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for various applications across the bank.

Candidates must have strong programming skills in languages such as Python and SQL, with experience working with data science libraries like TensorFlow and scikit-learn. A demonstrated understanding of business context, objectives, and requirements is essential, along with the ability to align ML solutions with business goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical models, and optimization techniques; experience in portfolio construction and optimization techniques preferred.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and familiarity with data science libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
  • Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Large Language models.
  • Understanding of business context, objectives, and requirements. Ability to align ML solutions with business goals, identify opportunities for ML applications, and communicate the value and potential impact to the organization.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
