At Brookfield Asset Management, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our actuarial team.

Job Overview

We are a global leader in the asset management industry, with a strong focus on securing the financial futures of individuals and institutions. Our Wealth Solutions business unit offers a range of retirement services, wealth protection products, and tailored capital solutions.

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of Principles Based Reserving for VM-22, working closely with operating company chief actuaries. They will also oversee the corporate actuarial review of pricing models and provide expert advice on insurance sector experience and reporting requirements.

  • Actuarial Leadership
    • Develop and implement actuarial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Pricing Model Review
    • Evaluate and improve existing pricing models to ensure they align with market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Insurance Sector Expertise
    • Provide subject matter expertise on insurance reporting requirements and develop processes to ensure compliance.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in actuarial science and/or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role, with a track record of driving business growth and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of insurance sector regulations and reporting requirements.
