Job Title: Supplier Auditor

Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supplier Auditor to join our team. As a Supplier Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits of supplier facilities to evaluate compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate supplier documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify critical components and materials, establishing audit criteria accordingly.
  • Provide timely and detailed audit reports, outlining findings, non-conformities, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement in quality processes.
Requirements:
  • University Degree in a relevant field (science, engineering, etc.).
  • ASQ – Certified Quality Auditor or equivalent.
  • Certificate in ISO auditing or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in auditing of shipbuilding, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100 or equivalent Quality Management Systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of shipbuilding materials, processes, and industry standards would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations for on-site audits.
