Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Driver to join our team at Sarita Food Wholesale. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and deliver messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of items received and delivered, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, ensuring minimal damage and optimal storage.
  • Navigation and Planning: Use maps and other trip planning aids to navigate routes, optimize delivery times, and ensure timely arrivals.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles) are essential.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, flexibility, reliability, and initiative.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
