Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family Preservation Leader to join our team at Secwepemc Child & Family Services Agency. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong background in social work and leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing the delivery of family support and child protection services that ensure the safety and protection of children. They will provide support to help families retain or regain parenting capacity, promoting quality care for children in a family setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support families in need;
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Family Preservation Caseworkers;
  • Collaborate with communities, agencies, and stakeholders to develop care resources and meet government standards;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field;
  • Must be fully delegated under the Children, Family and Community Service Act or eligible to be delegated (C-6);
  • Three to five years' experience in social work or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and community engagement;
  • One to three years' supervision experience, preferably in a child welfare setting;
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field;
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and cultures;
  • Knowledge of Signs of Safety framework and other innovative approaches to child protection casework;
Working Conditions
  • Travel to multiple locations may be required;
  • Potential for violence in the workplace;
  • May be required to work some non-standard hours connected to services and community needs;
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $49.72 per hour, paid bi-weekly. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including company pension, dental care, employee assistance program, extended health care, paid time off, and vision care.
