Role Overview

We are seeking a Marketing and Community Strategist to join our team in Burnaby, Canada. As the Senior Marketing Specialist for Brooks Sports, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that resonate with runners and fitness enthusiasts in Canada.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: Develop and execute consumer-facing events, including race expos, community runs, and social media activations, to create brand affinity with Canadian runners and fitness enthusiasts.
  • Social Media Growth: Grow Brooks Canada's social media audience by finding new ways to engage with Canadian runners, localizing editorial content, and scheduling posts.
  • Influencer Management: Identify new fans, influencers, and advocates to increase reach and engagement on social platforms.
  • Program Management: Manage the Brooks Future Run Program in Canada, recruiting middle school, high school, and university athletes and coaches, and aligning with US program deliveries.
  • Content Creation: Plan, organize, and execute local content production, coordinating with talent, photographers, and videographers.
  • Results Analysis: Track and measure the impact of local tactics and reactions, compiling results into regular reports with actionable insights.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the US Marketing Team to ensure brand and product campaign alignment.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • College or University education in Business/Marketing is an asset.
  • 5+ years in the fitness industry (coaching or managing studios) with exposure to events, social media marketing strategy, and execution.
  • Demonstrates high proficiency in editorial writing, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively interact with customer-facing clients and present compellingly in group settings.
  • Proficiency in English is required; French is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000-$110,000 CAD per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program.
