About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Delta Drywall Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the installation of drywall and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and specifications, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create smooth and even surfaces.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, taking into account materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a sturdy and secure structure.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the finishing touches.
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to clients.
  • Instructing apprentices and providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Estimating costs and materials to ensure accurate quotations and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Experience in carpentry is an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
