Director of Advancement Opportunity

As St. George's School approaches its centennial year, we seek a seasoned Director of Advancement to play a pivotal role in shaping the school's future. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic leader to join our Senior Leadership Team and drive fundraising efforts to support the school's mission.

About the Role

The Director of Advancement will lead a dedicated team of professionals across major gifts, annual giving, special events, communications, and alumni relations. This individual will serve as an ambassador for the school, fostering relationships with stakeholders and advancing the school's reputation. A key focus will be on securing major and principal gifts from within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Advancement team to achieve fundraising goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase philanthropic revenue
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, parents, and community leaders
  • Collaborate with the School's Old Boys' Association to advance alumni relations
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Advancement team to ensure effective execution of fundraising initiatives
Requirements

We seek a seasoned advancement professional with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts and leading fundraising teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. A strong understanding of the school's mission and values is essential.
