About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Jot Flooring & Renovations Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in our residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Work Environment:

As a Woodworking Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results. You will be required to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Commercial, industrial, and residential work settings
  • Maintenance and repair level of expertise
  • Ability to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment
