Woodworking Specialist

Jot Flooring & Renovations Inc is seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. You will also be tasked with building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as supervising other workers and estimating costs and materials. Key Responsibilities:- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the construction industry
