About the Role:

Jot Flooring & Renovations Inc is seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour

Working Conditions:
