Jot Flooring & Renovations Inc is seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the fabrication and installation of wood products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and woodworking, with experience in working with a variety of materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel. You will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to create high-quality wood products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
