Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ERP Implementation Specialist to join our team at Davis-Standard. As an ERP Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the technical implementation of our Epicor Kinetic system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Implementation: Manage the technical implementation of Epicor Kinetic, working closely with 3rd party consultants to drive the end-to-end process from business requirement to configuration and production deployment.
  • Data Migration: Map data from 4 ERP/Financial systems to a single Kinetic instance, prepare and execute data loads, and work with the implementation team to resolve any load errors.
  • Customization and Configuration: Verify that customization requests cannot be handled by out-of-the-box functionality, scope new change requests, and provide timeline/effort estimates for these enhancements.
  • Functional Solution Support: Provide functional solution support for all new process implementations.
  • Technical Support: Support the solutioning team across all phases from instance design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • System Review and Mapping: Review existing ERP systems and map critical functionality to standard Kinetic processes in conjunction with the consulting team, highlighting any functional and/or technical gaps between systems.
  • Business Process Management: Develop Business Process Management functions (BPMs), Business Activity Queries (BAQs), and Dashboards as approved by the solution design team.
  • Client Support: Provide support and maintenance to clients for day-to-day technical problems that may arise throughout the migration efforts.
  • Project Coordination: Advise the core implementation team of any major issues or roadblocks that arise and impact the project timeline.
  • Outsourced Development and Data Extracts: Lead coordination and validation of any outsourced development and data extracts.
  • Environment Setup: Work in conjunction with the infrastructure team on environment setup.
  • Post-Go-Live Support: Provide hyper support during any post-go-live phases of the project.
Requirements
  • Education: 4-year degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.
  • Experience: 5-10+ years of technical and functional experience with Epicor ERP/Kinetic, including experience with prior Epicor implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Critical thinking abilities to analyze existing systems and business processes, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with root cause analysis identification.
  • Technical Skills: Technical skills to generate Data Migration Tool loads, and Dashboards, as well as experience with Crystal Reports to SSRS conversion and the ability to extract data from SQL and Pervasive databases.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and working with Bills of Materials and Methods of Manufacturing is highly desirable.
