About the Role

LHR Américas is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing joint ventures, and executing mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Due Diligence and Valuation
    • Conduct thorough due diligence on target companies, evaluating their financials, operations, and market position.
    • Perform valuations of target companies using various methods, including financial modeling and industry analysis.
  • Business Development and Negotiation
    • Develop and execute business strategies to identify and pursue new opportunities.
    • Negotiate and draft agreements, including non-binding offers, term sheets, and definitive agreements.
  • Transaction Execution and Management
    • Manage all aspects of transaction execution, including project management, stakeholder management, and advisor selection.
    • Ensure compliance with process stage gates and approvals, and manage contract payments and variations.
  • Team Leadership and Support
    • Provide administrative direction and personnel management to Business Development Analysts.
    • Support the law department in anti-trust clearance activities and internal proponent organizations in post-acquisition integration activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance from a recognized international program.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, including joint venture transactions.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • Strong joint venture development background, with experience in financial valuation and modeling, due diligence, commercial negotiations, and transaction structuring.
  • Adequate understanding of financial analysis of companies and valuation methodologies, commercial principles of a transaction, and different types of transactions.
