About the Role

This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team based in Kensington, Calgary. As a key member of our Vacation Planners team, you'll be responsible for communicating with clients on the telephone, providing expert travel assistance, and ensuring seamless trip planning from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  1. Prospect, pitch, and develop tour quotes for new and existing clients
  2. Confirm all aspects of the trip with clients and suppliers over the telephone
  3. Provide travel assistance and concierge-like service to clients, including booking trains, hotels, tours, transportation, reservations, etc.
  4. Confirm availability and pricing in a prompt and organized manner
  5. Leverage preferred partners to ensure the best rates and amenities for clients
  6. Continually study and learn about new destinations and suppliers, including attending educational events and webinars
  7. Process bookings and create documentation for travel, including itineraries, vouchers, and invoices
  8. Maintain a consistent, professional, and warm line of communication with clients before, during, and after travel to ensure quality delivery of their dream vacation
  9. Work collaboratively in a team environment
Requirements
  • Extensive personal travel experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Exceptional customer service and professional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining complex records and itineraries
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Positive, tenacious attitude and a willingness to continually learn in a team environment
  • Experience working in the travel or hospitality industry is a plus
  • Fluent in other languages is also a plus

Location

The successful candidate will be based in Kensington, Calgary, and must be available to work evenings and weekends year-round due to our 7-day operation schedule.
