Job Summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide community visits and assess the abilities and needs of individuals. You will work with clients of all ages, including pediatrics and adults with medical/health concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement client-centered plans to promote occupational performance and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare workers and other community resources to provide comprehensive care
  • Engage clients using a collaborative approach, building rapport and trust
  • Maintain professional client records and stay up-to-date with changes in practice settings

Requirements

  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing)
  • Accepting New Graduates Licensed
  • ADP authorization preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families
  • Current certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid and CPR
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
