A dynamic opportunity exists for a Mental Health Clinician to join the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at the Outreach Urban Health Centre in Kelowna, B.C.

Role Overview:

This role is part of the ACT team, which provides comprehensive, community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation, and support to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.

The Substance Use Clinician functions as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and as a member of a specific MHSU multi-disciplinary team.

The clinician provides assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response to complex clients with co-occurring disorders.

Scheduling Information:

Shift types are days, and scheduled shifts are Monday through Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.

This is a casual opportunity, with no guaranteed hours and varying work requirements.

About This Location/Unit:

ACT is a team treatment approach designed to provide comprehensive, community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation, and support to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.

Clients served by ACT often have co-existing problems such as homelessness, substance abuse, or involvement with the judicial system.
