Job Summary: We have a relief full time opportunity for a Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician to join our high functioning team at the Community Health & Services Centre in Kelowna, B.C.

The Substance Use Clinician provides, at the advanced practice level, assessment, treatment, service coordination and, as required, urgent response to the most complex clients, frequently with co-occurring disorders, who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, treat, and service coordinate for complex clients with co-occurring disorders
• Provide urgent response as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Coordinate with community partners
• Conduct risk assessments and interventions

Requirements:
• Master's degree in a related field
• Advanced practice experience in MHSU
• Strong understanding of substance use and its effects
• Ability to utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills and group facilitation techniques
• Experience working with high risk youth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
