Role Overview: As the Head of Marketing at Aimsio, you will report directly to our CEO and be an integral part of our leadership team. This role involves crafting and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, boost customer engagement, and drive revenue growth. From conceptualization to implementation, the Head of Marketing brings creative vision, establishes operational frameworks, and ensures the success of all marketing initiatives across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing Strategy Development:
    • Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Aimsio's growth goals.
    • Identify market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
    • Have an experimental mindset and run tests regularly.
  2. Brand Management:
    • Oversee the implementation of the company's brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
    • Maintain and enhance the company's brand equity through innovative and cohesive branding efforts.
  3. Lead Generation:
    • Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to drive qualified leads to the sales team.
    • Utilize various channels, including digital marketing, content marketing, and events, to generate high-quality leads.
  4. Sales Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with sales objectives and strategies.
    • Support sales initiatives with targeted campaigns and collateral to enhance sales effectiveness.
  5. Product Positioning:
    • Develop and articulate product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
    • Ensure clear and compelling communication of product benefits to drive customer engagement and adoption.
  6. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve overall marketing ROI.
  7. Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
    • Promote professional growth and ensure the team is equipped with the skills and tools needed for success.
  8. Budget Management:
    • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.
    • Oversee financial planning and expenditure tracking to stay within budgetary constraints.
  9. Content Creation:
    • Write and oversee the creation of compelling content for various channels, including the website, ads, emails, and more.
    • Ensure all content is aligned with the brand voice and marketing objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in developing and directing growth/demand generation marketing initiatives.
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, preferably in a fast-growing B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, lead generation, and brand management.
  • Hands-on experience in digital channels such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, SEO, SEM, and Display.
  • Proven track record of driving and scaling pipeline generation in fast-paced environments.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing both acquisition and lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, focusing on team development, scalability, and achieving organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated success supporting BDR and Sales functions.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and Hubspot.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 CAD - $150,000 CAD, based on factors such as skillset, location, and industry standards. Aimsio is a remote-first company and can accommodate candidates from diverse locations. However, please note that we prioritize candidates who are legally eligible to work in Canada. While we may occasionally require team-building events, we maintain flexibility regarding geographical locations. Our home cities are Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver, and we expect occasional travel to these destinations.
