As part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), BC Cancer operates six regional cancer centres in Surrey, Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, Abbotsford, and Prince George, along with two research centres conducting research into the causes and cures for cancer.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges between $250,000-$350,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner in Oncology to join our team in beautiful Victoria. The successful applicant will work with a team of specialized medical oncologists and allied health professionals, participating exclusively in the care of Oncology patients. Responsibilities include treating and following up on patients after curative and palliative treatment planning, engaging in clinical trials as opportunities arise, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer, and Royal Jubilee Hospital
  • Eligibility for appointment to the University of British Columbia
  • In-patient and oncology experience is an asset, but not required; BC Cancer will support training in medical oncology
