Medical Oncologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at BC Cancer - Victoria. As a Medical Oncologist, you will be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence, participating in clinical, research, administrative, and educational activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of cancer patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in clinical research and education to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical oncology.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to cancer care.
- Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.
- Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer, and Royal Jubilee Hospital.
- Eligibility for appointment to the University of British Columbia.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
