Job Overview:

As a key member of the BEST Service Pros team, the Payroll Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of bi-weekly payroll for over 600 union, non-union, and hourly employees. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for over 600 union, non-union, and hourly employees;
  • Investigate payroll discrepancies and handle T4-related inquiries;
  • Process garnishments and off-cycle payments as needed;
  • Maintain and update personnel files, including new hires, re-hires, rate changes, and personal information updates;
  • Process terminations and ROEs;
  • Communicate Time and Attendance errors to the Team Lead;
  • Reconcile payroll reports and maintain accurate records;
  • Provide Payroll and Time & Attendance systems training for new salaried staff;
  • Remain up-to-date with Employment Standards, union collective agreements, and company policies;
  • Suggest changes and updates to the payroll guide;

Requirements:

  • Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification, or working toward designation;
  • Minimum 2 years of full-cycle payroll experience in a high-volume environment with union and non-union, hourly payroll;
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now is considered an asset;
  • Acceptable security and criminal record check.
