Payroll Administrator Position

Job Overview:
As a key member of the BEST Service Pros team, the Payroll Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of bi-weekly payroll for over 600 union, non-union, and hourly employees. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for over 600 union, non-union, and hourly employees;
- Investigate payroll discrepancies and handle T4-related inquiries;
- Process garnishments and off-cycle payments as needed;
- Maintain and update personnel files, including new hires, re-hires, rate changes, and personal information updates;
- Process terminations and ROEs;
- Communicate Time and Attendance errors to the Team Lead;
- Reconcile payroll reports and maintain accurate records;
- Provide Payroll and Time & Attendance systems training for new salaried staff;
- Remain up-to-date with Employment Standards, union collective agreements, and company policies;
- Suggest changes and updates to the payroll guide;
Requirements:
- Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification, or working toward designation;
- Minimum 2 years of full-cycle payroll experience in a high-volume environment with union and non-union, hourly payroll;
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now is considered an asset;
- Acceptable security and criminal record check.
