Job Title: Payroll Administrator

About the Role:

The Payroll Administrator is a key member of our team, responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for over 600 union, non-union, and hourly employees. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for over 600 union, non-union, and hourly employees;
  • Investigate payroll discrepancies and handle T4-related inquiries;
  • Maintain personnel files and process terminations and ROEs;
  • Communicate Time and Attendance errors to Team Lead;
  • Reconcile and report payroll, union dues, and seniority reports;
  • Provide Payroll and Time & Attendance systems training for new staff;
  • Stay up-to-date with Employment Standards, union collective agreements, and company policies;
  • Suggest changes and updates to payroll guides.
Requirements:
  • Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification or working towards designation;
  • Minimum 2 years full-cycle payroll experience in a high-volume environment with union and non-union, hourly payroll;
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now considered an asset;
  • Acceptable security and criminal record check.
