Staff Software Engineer - Solutions Engineering

OneVest is a financial technology company on a mission to power the world's wealth. Our software was built to be modular, allowing financial institutions to fill gaps in their process depending on their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate complex client requirements into actionable engineering solutions, either reusing existing patterns or building custom solutions.
  • Engage with implementation-stage enterprise wealth management customers to understand their business processes, pain points, and technology needs.
  • Lead discovery sessions with strategic customers to better understand and document requirements for configuration, integration, and customization of the OneVest platform.
  • Leverage patterns and structures to streamline building workflows, configurations, and adding new integrations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing leadership on technical design and direction for customer solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to adjust architectural patterns as client needs evolve.
  • Uplevel the team and individual engineers through technical mentorship, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
  • Set high standards for technical and operational excellence, ensuring solutions are scalable, reusable, and secure.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role.
  • Expertise in modern tech stacks, with hands-on experience in TypeScript, React, and MongoDB.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • History of leadership and mentorship for other teams, providing technical guidance and best practice expertise.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
