Join Our Team as a Staff Software Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced software engineer to lead our full-stack engineering team. You'll be responsible for advising on technical decisions, communicating complex ideas, and mentoring junior engineers. Your expertise will help us build scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems that serve our business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on full-stack technical decisions and communicate complex ideas with precision and clarity
  • Play a key role in advising the team on pragmatic technical approaches to problems
  • Plan ahead by strategically architecting scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and senior engineers to identify and solve technical challenges
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead by example to uphold software development best-practices
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience building highly performant web applications with outstanding UX
  • Knowledge of our full-stack technologies, including React, Typescript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and Go
  • Extensive experience working with a test-driven approach to writing code
  • Experience working with relational databases and key-value stores
  • Experience analyzing, benchmarking, and optimizing web application performance
