We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Credential Management team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead the development of our credential management features within Firefox, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for our users.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of credential management features, collaborating with cross-functional partners to design and deliver long-term projects.
- Take technical ownership of major components of Firefox, ensuring high-quality, measurable, and maintainable software.
- Participate in defining and shaping auto-fill web standards.
- Mentor junior engineers, stewarding responsibilities and promoting growth within the team.
- Collaborate with management to provide feedback on strategy and turn it into concrete actions for the team.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- Proven ability to successfully lead and ship complex software projects.
- Proven experience in JavaScript, with C++ and/or Rust a bonus.
- Proven knowledge of core web technologies (HTML, DOM, Origins).
- Working experience with SQL.
- Creative problem-solving and ability to take initiative.
- Experience in data privacy and security.
- Experience leading scrums and sprint ceremonies.
